Templates

Templates at /templates holds repeatable shapes: the starting points the tenant reuses instead of rebuilding. Template kinds split across the left rail; pick the kind, then the template.

  • The left rail splits template kinds: Programs, Projects, Deliverables, Tasks, Delivery Platforms, Canva. The header names the selected kind with its template count.
  • The table lists name, category, effort, job role, and predecessors per template. Search, sort, columns, Quick Create, and Create Template sit above the rows.
  • Expanders open each template; effort and predecessor columns say what running it costs and what it depends on. A template without an effort estimate is a guess with a Create button.

  • If the same thing gets built three times, the fourth build should start from a template. Repetition without a template is how small differences become permanent inconsistencies.
  • Template defaults still resolve through configuration: report cuts through Table Views, work-item shape through Work Item Types.
  • Templates start work; they do not finish it. A project opened from a template still needs an owner, a scope, and a due date under Projects.
