Field Mappings

Field Mappings maps shared fields across project hierarchy objects. The field list selects the field (Phase shown, 2/4 objects); the detail panel shows that field’s properties and one mapping row per hierarchy object. The rows shown are Parent Projects, Child Projects, Deliverables (order_number), and Tasks.

The Phase field shown carries type Number and System No. Its object mappings read Parent Projects N/A, Child Projects N/A, Deliverables (order_number) Available, and Tasks N/A. The field list around it holds Child Project, Copy Document, Name, Parent Project, Child Project, Task, and Deliverable entries with their mapped-object counts.

  • The list selects which shared field the detail panel edits; Edit changes the field, Delete removes it, Add Field creates one.
  • Field Properties names the type and whether the field is a system field.
  • Object Mappings names one row per hierarchy object; Available means that object carries the field, N/A means it does not.
