Settings: People

Settings People is where members enter and leave the tenant. Pair this page with Roles. People is the who, Roles is the what they may do.

  • Confirm the correct tenant hostname before inviting (invites land in this tenant)
  • Invite the individual’s organizational identity (no shared accounts)
  • Assign the smallest sufficient role at invite time, default Member
  • Tell the invitee: their hostname, which environment to start in, and the first-session walkthrough
  • Watch for acceptance; nudge before the invite goes stale
Settings People member list with roles and status
  • Review pending invites regularly. Stale invites turn into confusion.
  • Re-send rather than duplicating: one active invite per person per tenant.
  • Revoke invites for people who should not join after all; do not leave them hanging.
  • Remove promptly on departure or role change
  • Reassign approval duties they held
  • Review recent sessions and approvals if sensitive
  • Revoke any pending invites they issued that are no longer wanted

Every quarter (or after any team change), walk the member list:

  1. Is every person still in the right role? Demote where the job shrank.
  2. Is anyone missing who needs access? Invite with smallest role.
  3. Any shared, stale, or mystery identities? Remove or convert to named individuals.
  4. Admin count still at 3 or fewer with absence coverage? Adjust.

Log the review date somewhere your fellow admins will find it. The next review depends on the last one having happened.
